This image tells the story of how an ordinary life in Gaza turned into a cycle of displacement. Waseem’s family once enjoyed simple routines, but after October 7 they were forced to flee from one shelter to another—Al-Nasr Street, Beach Camp, Al-Shifa, and finally Deir al-Balah. Each move was made on foot, often in the dark, without electricity or protection, carrying only identity papers as proof of existence. It captures the heavy transformation from ordinary civilian life to survival under endless displacement.
